The moveable bamboo scaffolding thrust into the bed of these seasonal Haor lakes (growing rice a few months before) provide support for the nets of the fishermen.
The scaffolding allows them to lift the nets out of the water to examine their catch. This time it was empty. Given that the Haors are often overfished, empty nets might become more common.
